As time drags on and we inch closer to completion, every little bit of progress feels like a major accomplishment. Finally, the walls have been spackled, sanded, taped, primed and painted. Nick ripped up all the 1960's square tile and treated the concrete floor with dry-lock. Today, we do another coat of that and touch up the paint with a second coat of Natura bio-friendly paint. The new windows have been installed and the brand new front door. The bathroom still eludes us and we suspect it will be the last piece of this renovation puzzle. We also installed the french drains on one side of the house...work outside continues. Here's where we are today -- and it's a far cry from where we started. That, my friends, is for dern sure!
